About this blog

Hi, I’m Erin (she/her). I’m a transgender woman living in Portland, Oregon. I started questioning my gender in November 2021, came out to myself as trans the following March, and have been out and living my best life since.
Something that has helped me understand my feelings around what it means to be trans has been reading older blogs written by other transgender people. Trans experiences are interesting to read about because even though there are no two journeys that are identical, there are common experiences and feelings that thread through each person’s story. I wanted a place to share my feelings and thoughts as they evolve, and I wanted to share to contribute to the record of trans lives and how a person’s life changes as they embrace their transness.
It’s important to know that I fully expect my thoughts and feelings to change as I continue to write posts. There are notions that I may embrace or discard as time goes by, and I may end up revising my own understanding of myself in the process. Each post should be treated as a snapshot of its time and not part of a comprehensive statement. I hope that taking this approach will reflect my personal growth in a more vulnerable way as time goes by.
If you want to get in touch, feel free to email me. Thanks for reading!
